Geohot on iphone 5 jailbreak

Apple's fifth generation iphone, iphone 5 is far from its official release but the hackers and enthusiasts have already been working on new iphone 5 jailbreak.iPhone Dev team have the exploit to jailbreak iPhone 5 geared up before its release.GeoHot is the first among the jailbreaks community to create a jailbreak for iphone 5. He hasn't revealed this yet but claims that this jailbreak tool  will jailbreak the future generation iphones which is supposed to be iphone5.

However the jailbreak has not revealed but it is expected that it is a bootrom exploit rather than userland jailbreak.

Userland jailbreak exploits holes in iOS , this effects both the users who are jailbroken as well as those who are not but this exploit can be patched by Apple using iOS upgrade.

Bootrom exploit is different from userland jailbreak. These kind of exploits are effective for the longest period as as this kind of exploits is only patched by a hardware upgrade. To patch this exploit, apple needs to fix hardware components to avoid its jailbreaking. At least for now, Apple has no control over the hardware of the device that you have purchased. So your device will remain jailbreakable and unpatched.
